CONSULTING EXPERIENCE
LA Clippers | Community Impact
Utilized GIS to quantify the positive impact of the Community Courts project on diverse segments of the Los Angeles population.
The results of my analysis were quoted by Steve Ballmer (former CEO of Microsoft) in a speech and posted on LA Clippers' social media.
Authored copy published in the LAC press release, and garnered extensive coverage in reputable media outlets, such as Sports Illustrated, USA Today, NBA.com, and Yahoo! Sports.
In total, these findings reached an audience of over 3 million people.
Oversaw entire project lifecycle: data wrangling, ArcGIS workflow & analysis, cartographic design. Coordinated between Business Intelligence, Community Relations, and Communications teams. Aligned GIS-based storytelling workflows and strategies with LAC's long-term business goals.
Resistance Mapping | Geographic Information Systems
Created a series of interactive web maps illustrating place-based racism in Rochester, NY, in collaboration with the Rochester Institute of Technology and the University of Rochester.
Managed end-to-end responsibilities, including data collection, processing, cartographic design, and creating an intuitive user interface in ArcGIS, despite lacking prior experience with the software.
Empowered users to customize their understanding of Rochester's racial history by interacting with four layers of web maps. Users have the freedom to click on racial covenants, redlined areas, and school district boundaries to access key information on racial composition, graduation rates, and median household income.
Collaborated with the Pathstone Foundation's Antiracist School Curriculum Project to ensure effective use and implementation of the maps in Monroe County classrooms, with the goal of making them accessible to all 70,000+ students in the near future.

"Your Children Are Very Greatly In Danger" | Cartographic Design
Collaborated with Justin Murphy, former author and reporter for the Democrat & Chronicle, to create maps illustrating the racist history of the Rochester City School District's (RCSD) enrollment zones.
Utilized hand-drawn maps to generate a digital representation of the school enrollment zone boundaries in 1959, filling the gap in spatial data.
Overlaid census demographic data onto the enrollment boundaries, exposing the deliberate exclusion of minority communities from the East High School enrollment zone during the 1959 redraw.
Significantly contributed to the understanding of how this case has perpetuated racial segregation within the RCSD today.
Published the maps in "Your Children Are Very Greatly in Danger," a book authored by Justin Murphy and published by Cornell University Press.
